My name is Jeremy Touzel Hansuvadha. I started teaching in 2000 and though most of my experience is in high school math, I’ve taught at public, private, and charter schools, in both urban and suburban settings, at the elementary, middle, high school and university levels. I have three parents in education (Special Ed/reading, Math Ed, and middle school English) and my wife is an Education professor, so education is not just a passion of mine–it’s a way of life.

My educational obsessions are Complex Instruction, the IMP curriculum (2nd Edition), classroom management, and relationship-building with students. Outside of the classroom, I am obsessed with my daughters, Paul McCartney’s basslines, the Seattle Seahawks, the A Song of Ice and Fire series/Game of Thrones show, disc golf, flags, sports analytics, and tabletop gaming. I think that the Lannisters are the most interesting family in ASOIAF. I think that Vancouver is the most beautiful city in the world. I have a love/hate relationship with my home state, South Carolina, and I lived in Victoria, Australia for a little over a year. I was the songwriter and lyricist for a punk band, but that was last millennium.

I am also obsessed with mistakes and I’m trying to make all of them.
